Broker Engine is mortgage broker workflow software supplied by AFG as BrokerEngine Plus within Suite360 and sold separately as BrokerEngine. Its vendor is Mortgage Processing Services Pty Ltd, trading as BrokerEngine, which AFG owns.
BrokerEngine Login: AFG Plus or Standalone
AFG brokers access BrokerEngine Plus through Suite360 sign-in with their usual AFG email address and password. Open BrokerEngine Plus from your Suite360 account. The AFG Suite360 guide covers the wider package and general AFG sign-in.
Standalone subscribers use the User Login option in the footer of BrokerEngine’s official website. It opens the separate BrokerEngine application. Use the account credentials issued for that subscription.
If Suite360 rejects your account or BrokerEngine Plus is missing, contact AFG Partner Support on 1800 063 210. AFG also accepts system issues at membersupport@afgonline.com.au. Standalone subscribers use BrokerEngine’s own support channel through its Contact page or call 1300 998 791. Include the account email and exact error, without sending your password.
What Broker Engine Does
Broker Engine organises deals on configurable boards and moves work through workflows. Its documented functions include tasks, checklists and automation, with fact finds, loan strategy work and review processes. Integrations connect it with other tools your office uses.
Map the stages your office already follows, then assign the tasks and checklists each stage needs. For example, a document request can sit against the application with an owner and follow-up task. That gives the team a shared view of what is outstanding.
AFG bundles BrokerEngine Plus within Suite360 beside AFG Flex. A standalone subscription is a separate access arrangement. If you aggregate outside AFG, confirm the subscription and integrations available to your office before spending time on setup. To compare the workflow with other systems, read the mortgage broker CRM comparison. The aggregator CRM guide explains the platforms supplied through other networks.
Where the Time Savings Come From
BrokerEngine’s task queue prioritises work, so the next action is visible without rebuilding a daily list. Emails and SMS held against the file give colleagues the context for a follow-up. Rule-based workflows create the next tasks or communications as the deal progresses.
These gains depend on how you configure the workflow. Assign a person to each task and remove duplicate reminders before using it across the office. A follow-up rule helps only when the right colleague receives it at the right stage.
Client Documents and Security
FinanceVault is BrokerEngine’s two-way client document portal. Clients receive requests and upload documents through the portal, while your team manages the information against the file.
Your data-security duties remain with your brokerage and licensee. Check uploaded documents before including them in a submission. Set staff access deliberately and keep documents for the period your licensee requires. The broker data-security guide explains the wider handling obligations.
Lodgement Through ApplyOnline
AFG’s BrokerEngine Plus lodges directly to ApplyOnline. That transfers application information into the lodgement process and reduces repeated entry. The ApplyOnline guide explains lodgement and lender messages.
Confirm which lenders and forms your office actually uses in that pathway. Test the fields your team normally needs, including any information you still complete in the lender’s process. A connection saves time only on the applications it supports.
Testing It on Your Own Files
Use the free demo to take two of your current files through the process from fact find to lodgement. Agree how client data can be used in the demo first. Use anonymised copies until your licensee and the provider permit real data.
- Enter the fact find and build the loan strategy for each file.
- Request documents through FinanceVault and inspect the uploads.
- Move the files through your stages and check task ownership and follow-up.
- Walk through the lodgement pathway without sending a test application to a lender.
Record where your team re-enters information or works outside the system. Before adopting it, confirm the complete file reaches the intended lodgement stage and each outstanding task has an owner.
What It Really Costs
Broker Engine pricing depends on whether you subscribe directly or receive BrokerEngine Plus through your AFG agreement. AFG’s technology charges and BrokerEngine’s published subscription options are starting points for the comparison. Include the users and setup support your office needs.
For the AFG route, model a typical month of settlements through the whole agreement. Include technology fees and the commission retained by the aggregator. Use the AFG commission-rate schedule beside the aggregator fees guide to assess the arrangement.
Judge the functions you can use in the demo, including any AI capability being promoted. Promises about future functions do not complete today’s files. If the workflow fits and the full cost works, move one pipeline segment first and review it after a month.
From BrokerEngine Settlement to Paid Commission
A deal marked settled in BrokerEngine records the deal’s progress. The commission paid comes from the aggregator’s issued statement. A settled status alone does not prove that upfront or trail arrived.
Carry the lender loan reference from the deal into your statement checks and trail book records. Match the statement row to the settled loan, then use that same reference when raising a missing or unexpected payment with AFG.
Track My Trail reads AFG’s commission reports. With two monthly reports, Quick Analysis shows which loans were added or dropped off and which clients discharged or refinanced. The Track My Trail section of AFG’s profile explains how to analyse those reports.
Keep the loan reference consistent from lodgement to settlement and the statement. That lets your office follow a completed application through to the income it actually receives.
