ApplyOnline is NextGen’s loan-lodgement platform for Australian mortgage brokers. You use it to prepare an application, resolve submission checks and send the file to the lender through your broker group’s approved route. Start with access and lender accreditation, then confirm receipt before treating the application as lodged.
What ApplyOnline Does for Brokers
NextGen’s ApplyOnline platform supports lending origination, digital lodgement and application processing. Lenders and aggregators across the market use it. Your aggregator’s customer relationship management (CRM) system can be the starting point for a file, with ApplyOnline handling the lender submission.
A CRM manages client records and deal workflow. Lender accreditation gives you authority to lodge with that lender. Commission analysis checks the money paid after settlement. These are separate jobs from processing an application.
AFG states that BrokerEngine Plus has direct lodgement to ApplyOnline built in. For the AFG workspace and its wider technology package, read the BrokerEngine guide and AFG Suite360 guide. ApplyOnline also operates through other broker groups, so an AFG account is not a general access requirement.
Confirm Access and Lender Accreditation
Use the desktop ApplyOnline Broker Centre through the login route your aggregator or broker group supplies. NextGen’s ApplyOnline app instructions describe that desktop route and direct brokers to their broker group for account instructions. The mobile app gives pipeline visibility, while application amendments use the full version.
Before starting a file, confirm each prerequisite.
- Your aggregator or lender authorises the submission route you intend to use.
- Your assigned account can access the file and perform the submission. Staff access must match the authority your group grants.
- Your lender accreditation is active under the broker group that will lodge the application.
- The lender accepts that application type through the chosen route, and you have its required client authorities and evidence.
NextGen licenses ApplyOnline at broker-group or aggregator level. A working login alone does not establish lender accreditation or permission to submit every type of loan.
For ApplyOnline support, NextGen’s broker support page directs brokers to their aggregator’s help desk first. NextGen publishes helpdesk@nextgen.net as its app support email. Use the aggregator for account and integration problems, and the lender for accreditation or application requirements. NextGen’s education resources provide platform training.
ApplyOnline and Simpology Loanapp
ApplyOnline belongs to NextGen. Loanapp is Simpology’s separate electronic loan-lodgement platform. The lender’s setup and your broker group’s approved access determine which platform a file uses.
Follow the lender’s instructions for this application. A lender using both platforms can have different document or status handling in each. The Simpology and Loanapp guide explains that platform’s role in more detail.
Prepare the Application and Evidence
Prepare the file against the selected lender’s current checklist. Client information is the data entered into the application. Supporting documents substantiate that data. Consents and declarations record the authorities and statements required for the file.
- Open the lender’s instructions for the application type. Identify the evidence required at submission and any documents needed at a later stage.
- Enter the client and proposed loan information required for that file. Compare entered figures with the source records before continuing.
- Attach the required supporting documents to the relevant checklist items. Confirm that each file is readable and belongs to the correct applicant.
- Complete the required consents and broker declarations. Obtain client signatures where the lender’s process requires them.
- Review the assembled file for discrepancies. Resolve a figure that differs between the application and its evidence before running the final checks.
The exact fields and documents depend on the lender and application. Copying another lender’s completed file does not establish that this file meets its checklist.
Validate and Submit Through the Approved Route
- Resolve blocking validation errors before submitting. The NextGen lodgement guide published by MA Money distinguishes errors that prevent submission from warnings that permit it. Investigate each warning and correct the underlying information where needed.
- Check the lender’s document requirements separately. A passed data check does not establish that every required document has reached the lender.
- Submit through the approved route once the file is ready.
- Retain the ApplyOnline application identifier and verify the lender’s acknowledgment or reference for that file. In MA Money’s published guide, the lender identifier is populated after submission and receipt by the lender. Confirm a matching lender receipt or reference, plus the document-delivery status required for that route.
A saved draft or completed check does not prove receipt.
Respond to Messages and Missing Information
Keep corrections attached to the existing file so its submission history remains traceable.
| Symptom | Check | Action and escalation |
|---|---|---|
| Validation prevents submission | Read the reported issue and compare the affected data with its evidence. | Correct the entry. Ask the lender about its requirement, or the aggregator help desk about a technical fault. |
| Submission has no lender acknowledgment | Check the application history and any separate document-delivery status. | Give the aggregator help desk the application identifier and submission time. Ask the lender to confirm receipt before lodging again. |
| The lender requests missing information | Read the request against the existing checklist and client records. | Supply the requested evidence through the lender’s nominated channel and retain confirmation. Ask the lender to clarify an ambiguous request. |
| Login works but the file or lender is unavailable | Check the broker group, account authority and accreditation attached to the file. | Ask the aggregator to resolve account access and the lender to confirm accreditation. |
While receipt is unresolved, avoid a duplicate application. Give support the relevant reference and error text, using its authorised channel for client information. After a correction, confirm the original problem clears and the lender can identify the file.
Carry the Settled Loan Into Commission Checks
Lodgement, approval, settlement and commission payment are separate events. Retain the final lender loan reference when the loan settles, alongside its settlement record and the broker group’s deal reference.
Obtain the aggregator-issued commission report through its authorised portal or reporting channel. Match the paid record to the settled loan, then reconcile upfront and subsequent trail with the trail book. Raise an absent or mismatched payment with the aggregator using the loan reference and the relevant reporting period.
Track My Trail analyses the commission reports you upload. Commission Verification matches each upfront payment to the trail expected within two months and shows trail received without upfront. The supported aggregator reports guide explains the report routes, including the Generic CSV template and PDF to CSV for other statements.
Keep the submission history as evidence of lodgement and the aggregator report as evidence of payment. Close the commission check when the paid record matches the settled loan, or retain the unresolved difference for follow-up with the aggregator.
