Viking Aggregation: Lending Scope and Technology

Track My Trail Team

Viking Aggregation gives brokers access to lending panels and support across residential, asset and commercial finance. Its residential business includes Salestrekker 2.0, while the asset finance business has its own technology. Viking Aggregation Pty Ltd and Viking Asset Aggregation Pty Ltd are separate legal entities within the Viking Money presentation.

The Viking Aggregation Business

Viking helps brokers write finance through lender access, technology and specialist support for each lending category. Its official website presents residential, asset and commercial aggregation under Viking Money.

The legal disclosures distinguish the businesses by Australian Business Number (ABN) and Australian credit licence (ACL).

  • Viking Aggregation Pty Ltd: ABN 82 105 968 821 and ACL 471435.
  • Viking Asset Aggregation Pty Ltd: ABN 16 661 296 457 and ACL 543046.
  • Viking Money Pty Ltd: ABN 11 697 127 174.

Those names identify different entities. When considering an arrangement, use the entity named in your broker agreement and credit authorisation to establish who contracts with your business. A shared Viking brand does not make the legal names interchangeable.

Residential, Asset and Other Lending Services

Viking separates home lending from asset finance and commercial lending, with support and platforms suited to each category.

Service Line Broker Work Technology Described by Viking
Residential Home loans, including owner-occupier and investment lending Salestrekker 2.0 for residential deals
Asset finance Vehicle and equipment finance for consumers and businesses Matrix for the asset finance workflow
Commercial Business loans, investment properties and development finance Raven Commercial for commercial lodgement

Viking’s residential service also describes Financeable for residential brokers who write asset finance. That is a specific cross-category option. It does not establish that Salestrekker’s residential functions apply to every asset deal or that every broker uses the same asset platform.

For a brokerage mainly writing vehicle or equipment loans, start with the asset finance arrangement and its processing options. The asset finance aggregator comparison helps you compare providers on that business model.

Joining and Getting Lender Access

Viking’s joining process begins with an enquiry about your business and the lending categories you want to write. The form requests your name and contact details, business name and region. You identify your primary business focus and can add other areas of interest or your current aggregator.

That enquiry starts the discussion about the appropriate pathway. It is distinct from approval to lodge with each lender. Match the proposed lender access to the products you intend to write and establish which accreditations your individual brokers need.

Viking describes dedicated residential compliance support and pre-submission reviews. Its services page separately describes Loan Writing Solutions for asset, equipment and cashflow lending. That service provides credit analysts and processing help, including access to lenders with which the broker is not accredited.

Treat Loan Writing Solutions as a service choice in the agreement. Separate its responsibilities and costs from the support included in your aggregation arrangement, particularly who prepares the application and communicates with the client.

Residential Technology and Salestrekker

Salestrekker 2.0 is the platform Viking names for residential deal management and lodgement. Viking’s residential technology page describes document management, status tracking and the workflow from enquiry through settlement. It also describes generated submission notes and compliance comments.

These capabilities relate to the residential platform. Viking identifies Matrix on its asset finance technology page and Financeable as an option for residential brokers handling asset finance. A residential platform description cannot establish which functions, lender connections or document steps apply to your asset or commercial arrangement.

Use the Salestrekker guide for the platform’s broader workflow. For a mixed brokerage, compare each category’s actual lodgement path and determine where client records move between platforms.

Assessing Costs and Operational Fit

Assess Viking against the enquiries your brokerage handles and the terms of the specific service line you would join. A residential broker adding occasional vehicle loans has a different workload from a business processing equipment finance throughout the week.

In a hypothetical mixed brokerage, the residential team manages home-loan applications through Salestrekker. The equipment enquiries need their own lender access and processing path. The useful comparison is how each team completes its work, including who handles any referral and what happens to the client record.

Read the proposed agreement across these separate responsibilities:

  • Aggregation fees, technology charges and any processing-service fees, including their billing and GST treatment.
  • Commission splits, payment timing and the treatment of clawbacks or other deductions.
  • The contracting entity, licence arrangement and responsibilities for lender accreditation and file compliance.
  • Ownership of client records, access to exports and the treatment of the loan book and trail after departure.

Compare the net income and work required under the proposed arrangement. Keep upfront or once-off brokerage separate from ongoing trail when assessing how much recurring income the business produces.

Track My Trail With Viking Reports

You can use Track My Trail to analyse Viking residential trail through the Generic CSV route. Viking is outside our named native report families, so prepare the monthly residential commission data in the Generic CSV template. The upload handbook provides the template and detailed preparation guidance after you sign in with a current trial or subscription.

If your residential statement arrives as a PDF, PDF to CSV converts it into rows you check and download. Prepare the result for the Generic CSV upload. Keep the loan references consistent across months so the analysis can follow each loan.

Upload two monthly reports for Quick Analysis. We show which clients were added or dropped off and which discharged or refinanced, so you can explain the change in residential trail. With opt-in Trail History, Missing Trail Analysis finds trail that stopped and later returned, separately from discharges.

Once-off asset finance brokerage is not trail. Keep that income separate from the residential trail book when preparing these reports. See report support across aggregators for the other report routes.

Viking Aggregation FAQ

I’m a Viking Broker. Can I Use Track My Trail?

Yes, you can analyse residential trail by preparing Viking’s monthly reports in the Generic CSV template. PDF to CSV can help when your statement is a PDF. Once-off asset finance brokerage is not ongoing trail, so it does not create a residential trail book to track.

Are Viking Aggregation and Viking Asset Aggregation the Same Business?

No, they are distinct legal entities under shared Viking branding. Each has its own ABN and Australian credit licence in the website disclosures. Use the entity on your agreement to identify the business responsible for your arrangement.

Does Salestrekker Cover Every Viking Lending Category?

Viking names Salestrekker 2.0 for residential lending. Its asset finance technology is described separately, including Matrix and the Financeable option for residential brokers writing asset finance. Choose the platform and processing arrangement for the categories your brokerage actually handles.
