Nectar Mortgages: The Broker Network Explained

Track My Trail Team

Nectar Mortgages is a broker network with a Nectar-branded franchise path and Nectar Broker Brands for businesses keeping their own name. The choice determines how your business presents itself to clients. Your joining agreement determines the fees, support commitments and rights attached to that choice.

Nectar Mortgages for Brokers

The Nectar Mortgages group supports broker businesses, while its customer-facing website connects borrowers with Nectar brokers. Joining the network concerns how you run your brokerage and access its services.

Nectar advertises two joining paths. Nectar-branded brokers trade under its name. Nectar Broker Brands supports independent businesses using their own name. Compare these arrangements with other mortgage broker franchises or smaller aggregation networks if branding affects your choice.

Nectar’s broker recruitment page describes the two paths and their support. Its broker profile for Ben Eick identifies Paul Newell as founder and describes lender access.

Ownership and the Joining Arrangement

Nectar Mortgages Pty Ltd is the business named in Nectar’s corporate website disclosures. The website footer identifies QED Credit Services Pty Ltd as its licensee. A licensee oversees credit activity under its licence. That role does not establish who holds shares in Nectar.

Nectar’s Paul Newell profile describes him becoming executive chairman in 2019 and calls the business a franchise. Broker Sidekick, which contracts through Nectar, describes Nectar’s non-exclusive enterprise agreement with LMG (Loan Market Group). An aggregation arrangement and a software relationship also do not establish share ownership.

For your brokerage, the practical distinction is the contract you sign. A branded franchise can impose requirements for use of the name and marketing materials. Nectar Broker Brands is the advertised route for keeping your own name. Panel access alone does not describe those branding obligations.

Request the agreement for the path you intend to join. Identify the contracting entity and separate its obligations from those of the licensee or underlying aggregator.

MyCRM and Daily Broker Support

Nectar names MyCRM in its recruitment material as part of its broker support systems. A broker CRM records client information and tracks work on a loan file. Nectar also advertises coaching and marketing assistance.

The MyCRM guide explains the platform’s role in more detail. For joining purposes, establish which user access and onboarding your agreement includes. Describe who imports your existing client records and who answers a software problem.

A recruitment promise about support describes the service being promoted. A measurable service commitment names the responsible team, availability and escalation process. Ask for those terms in writing, including what happens when an urgent file issue falls outside normal support hours.

Panel Access and the First File

Access to Nectar’s lender panel gives you a starting point for lender selection. Your own lender accreditation and the borrower’s circumstances determine which lender you can use for a particular file.

Consider a hypothetical salaried borrower purchasing a home. The enquiry moves through these steps.

  1. Establish lender access. You confirm that you hold the accreditation required to submit the proposed loan. The network supports the accreditation process under your joining arrangement.
  2. Assess the enquiry. You collect financial information and compare suitable options. You remain responsible for your recommendation and the records supporting it.
  3. Prepare the submission. You complete the application and supply the lender’s required documents. The network’s software and agreed support help with the file process.
  4. Respond to the lender. You resolve questions and outstanding conditions with the client. The lender makes the credit decision.
  5. Follow settlement. You coordinate the remaining borrower actions and confirm settlement. Match the resulting commission statement to the settled loan and your agreed payment terms.

A support package can help you complete these tasks. It does not transfer the lender’s approval decision to Nectar or make every panel lender available without accreditation.

Assessing the Commercial Offer

Assess Nectar’s offer through the written agreement for your joining path. The agreement needs to explain what you pay and what happens to your income and client records.

Compare these terms with your current arrangement.

  • Record joining and recurring fees. Include per-user charges and services billed separately.
  • Record your share of upfront and trail, payment timing and permitted deductions.
  • Identify how leads are allocated and charged. Separate lead generation support from any promised lead volume.
  • Identify who controls client records. Record the export formats available during membership and on exit.
  • Read the notice requirements and clawback obligations. Establish the conditions for trail payments after exit.
  • For the branded path, record the rules for signage and websites. Include the approval process for local marketing.

Nectar advertises ownership of your business, trail and data, with no lock-in contracts. Translate that promise into the agreement’s exit process and payment clauses. Keep the rules for continuing trail separate from the process for exporting your database.

A Nectar Mortgages review describes one person’s experience. Borrower reviews mainly concern the broker handling that borrower’s loan. A member’s account can help you ask about support, but neither establishes a service level for every brokerage.

Track My Trail With Nectar Reports

Track My Trail analyses your commission data through the route matching the statement you receive. Nectar’s MyCRM use does not identify the issuer or format of your particular statement.

If your statements are original LMG monthly run workbooks, follow the handbook’s LMG route. Upload every original .xlsx run report for each of two months without changing the files. One month can contain several runs.

For a Nectar-issued statement, prepare a copy using the Generic CSV template. The upload handbook gives the Generic route, with its template available during a current trial or subscription. Keep the original statements alongside the prepared copies. Preserve loan references and payment amounts, and reconcile the copied rows against each original month before uploading.

If you receive PDFs, PDF to CSV converts a statement into rows you check before downloading the CSV. Keep the source PDF for reconciliation. PDF to CSV deletes the uploaded PDF and converted file after 24 hours.

From two monthly reports, Quick Analysis shows which clients joined or left the book and which loans discharged or refinanced. It also shows changes from large repayments or drawdowns. Quick Analysis stores nothing.

With opt-in Trail History, Missing Trail Analysis identifies trail that stopped and later returned, separately from discharges. You can use the affected months and amounts to raise a payment query. See supported aggregators for the report routes across other networks.

Nectar Mortgages FAQ

I’m a Nectar Mortgages broker. Can I use Track My Trail?

Yes, upload your Nectar commission data through the route for the statement you receive. Use the LMG route if you receive original LMG monthly run workbooks. For a Nectar-issued statement, use the Generic CSV template or PDF to CSV. Quick Analysis needs two monthly reports.

What Is the Difference Between Nectar and Nectar Broker Brands?

The Nectar-branded franchise path uses the Nectar name. Nectar Broker Brands lets an independent broker business keep its own brand while receiving network support. Compare the branding requirements and fees in the agreement for your chosen path.

Do Nectar Brokers Keep Their Client Data and Trail When They Leave?

Nectar’s recruitment page states that brokers own their business, trail and data. It says brokers keep their database when they leave. Your agreement must describe the export process, ongoing trail payment arrangements and any deductions or obligations after exit.
