nMB Aggregator: Membership and Broker Suite

nMB is the National Mortgage Brokers aggregator, owned by Liberty Financial, with lender access and Mortgage Broker Suite for running a broking business. Its desktop suite includes client records, loan tools and reporting. Assess membership against your licensing arrangement and the lenders your brokerage needs.

National Mortgage Brokers and nMB

National Mortgage Brokers, branded nMB, is an Australian mortgage aggregator. Its history records its launch in 2001 and acquisition by Liberty in 2017.

nMB’s published legal disclosure identifies National Mortgage Brokers Pty Ltd as a wholly owned subsidiary of Liberty Financial Pty Ltd. Its Australian credit licence (ACL) number is 391209.

nMB and Liberty Network Services are separate organisations. They share Liberty Financial ownership, but Liberty Network Services has its own legal entity and licence. Evaluate the membership agreement of the organisation you intend to join.

The Broker Membership Arrangement

Joining nMB starts with a discussion of your brokerage’s needs and an application. Its joining page describes sales-team guidance on documentation, training and memberships, including support for brokers entering the industry.

National Mortgage Brokers Pty Ltd is the entity named in nMB’s service disclosures. nMB also publishes resources for its ACL credit representatives. Establish the legal entity joining, each loan writer’s authority and the activities that authority permits before submitting business.

A credit representative works under a credit licensee’s authorisation. The Australian Securities and Investments Commission’s credit representative guidance explains this arrangement. Aggregator membership and permission to conduct credit activities are separate requirements.

Your brokerage still manages client information and the loan recommendation, completes the required file records and follows its licensing obligations. Allocate responsibility for file reviews and complaints in the membership documents. A broker using their own ACL must identify which support services nMB supplies under that arrangement.

Panel Access and Network Support

nMB’s supplier panel lists more than 30 residential and commercial lenders. Its lending resources also cover equipment finance, deposit guarantees, insurance and property services.

The broker support service includes lending and compliance help desks. nMB also supplies technology support and partnership managers. Use that support to establish the accreditation steps for the lenders you expect to write with. A lender’s place on the panel does not establish your individual accreditation.

For example, suppose a client wants to refinance a home loan and finance business equipment. Before committing to either submission, confirm the relevant panel lender, your accreditation status and the permitted product category. Resolve a pending accreditation before promising a lodgement date.

Compare those requirements with the lenders your brokerage actually uses. The aggregator comparison helps you assess other groups against the same client mix.

Mortgage Broker Suite: nMB’s Desktop Platform

Mortgage Broker Suite (MBS) is nMB’s desktop platform for managing a mortgage broking business. The customer relationship management (CRM) system is one component. The suite also contains a Lending Centre, loan tools, a reference library, a broker toolkit and online reports.

nMB’s Mortgage Broker Suite description places lead management, online applications and post-settlement communication within the CRM. Its loan tools support scenario calculations, while the Lending Centre holds supplier information. Online reports include commission and recipient-created tax invoice (RCTI) reporting.

Before setting up a brokerage workstation, put these questions to nMB’s technology team.

  • Which operating systems and device specifications does MBS support?
  • Which installation files and permissions does setup require, and who installs updates?
  • How are broker and administrator accounts created, changed and removed?
  • Which permissions control access to client documents, loan files and commission reports?
  • What access and export arrangements apply when a staff member or brokerage leaves?

For the nMB broker login, use the Broker Login link on the nMB technology page. That is distinct from Affiliate Login. nMB describes online reports as accessible through MBS or its secure website broker portal.

A practical file check starts with the client record and its documents, then moves through the loan scenario and application to submission. In a demonstration, follow one sample file through those stages and confirm where the submission status returns.

Keep the client record ID consistent within MBS. Record the application ID when the application is created and retain the lender’s loan or account reference after settlement. Use those references alongside the borrower’s name to reconcile the settled loan with its commission report. A client can have several loans, so a name alone cannot identify the payment.

Fees, Payments and Exit Terms

Your nMB operating cost depends on the commercial agreement and the services included. Model any fixed fees and commission deductions against your own settlement volume and trail income. Include technology charges, licensing services and additional staff access where the quote charges for them.

Ask for the commission administration terms in writing. Establish when nMB pays commissions, how adjustments appear and who handles a disputed or missing payment. Read the agreement’s rules for clawbacks separately from its ordinary payment schedule.

Continuing trail rights and client-record access depend on the actual agreement. Before signing, establish what happens to trail after termination and how you export client documents and loan records. Identify any notice period, transfer conditions or fees that affect a move.

The aggregator fees guide explains the pricing structures to compare. Use the switching aggregators guide to plan the transfer of an existing brokerage.

Track My Trail With nMB Reports

Track My Trail’s Quick Analysis reads two original monthly nMB trail CSV files without modification. If you changed a file, re-export the original before uploading it. We compare the two periods to show clients added or dropped off, large balance movements and changes in trail income.

You can review the period comparison without storing report data. Quick Analysis stores nothing, so a two-month check fits a brokerage that wants to investigate its latest payment first.

For longer-term analysis of nMB reports, prepare the Generic CSV template and upload those files to Trail History. Native nMB CSV files are a Quick Analysis format. The Generic CSV route gives you stored periods for Historical Analysis and Missing Trail Analysis.

Missing Trail Analysis separates loans whose trail stopped and later returned from loans that discharged. You can investigate the missing periods against nMB’s payment records. The supported aggregator reports guide explains the routes across our aggregator panel.
