Liberty Network Services: Aggregation and Spark+

Track My Trail Team

Liberty Network Services (LNS) is Liberty Financial’s wholly owned aggregation and adviser network under the Liberty Adviser brand. It combines Spark+ technology with a product panel and business support. New-to-industry advisers have a 24-month mentor programme.

For a brokerage considering LNS, the decision turns on the support it needs and the commercial rights in the joining agreement. Compare those terms alongside the other main Australian aggregators.

Liberty Network Services in Brief

LNS supports advisers who build businesses under the Liberty Adviser brand. Its licence holder is Liberty Network Services Pty Ltd, Australian credit licence 408042. Liberty’s adviser page describes a network of more than 200 advisers and identifies Spark+ as its platform.

Liberty Financial owns LNS and National Mortgage Brokers (nMB). They are separate networks. Liberty’s nMB acquisition announcement distinguishes nMB’s wholesale aggregation model from LNS’s retail adviser channel.

Liberty the lender supplies loans. LNS supplies the adviser network and access to its panel. A broker assessing an individual Liberty loan can use the separate Liberty lending-policy guide.

Spark+ in the Adviser Workflow

Spark+ is LNS’s adviser platform, which Liberty describes through mobile access, productivity and data insights. Judge its fit during a demonstration using a typical file from your brokerage.

For example, use a hypothetical purchase file with two applicants, an existing loan and documents that need updating. Follow the file from client details to the lender submission. Record where staff re-enter information and how they correct an incomplete document. Compare that process with the work your team does today.

A reporting screen is useful only when you understand the records behind it. Ask the demonstrator to explain who can see client information and export reports. Confirm how permissions change when a staff member leaves. Client consent and permitted use still govern how you use information for follow-up or marketing.

A workload report can help you find delayed files. It cannot supply client consent or determine which loan meets a client’s needs.

Training, Mentoring and Support Teams

New-to-industry Liberty Advisers take part in LNS’s 24-month mentor programme. LNS also names dedicated technology, compliance, operations and marketing teams. State and network sales managers and product analysts support advisers.

For a new adviser, compare the mentor’s involvement with the files you expect to write. Establish who reviews a difficult file before submission and how you reach them when a client deadline approaches. Agree on the training schedule and the records you must keep.

An established brokerage has different needs. It might need help moving records or resolving a platform fault during a live application. Put those needs beside the support included in the agreement, including any separately charged work.

Product Panel and Marketing

LNS’s published panel covers residential, motor, commercial, business and self-managed super fund (SMSF) lending. Its marketing team combines national campaigns with local initiatives.

Panel access does not give every adviser accreditation for every product. Compare the available lenders with your usual client mix and confirm the accreditations needed for those files. Client needs govern the recommendation, including when a suitable option falls outside your usual lending categories.

For local marketing, establish who approves advertisements and owns the resulting client records. Separate included campaign resources from paid activity when calculating costs. A national brand can supply material, while your brokerage still needs permission to use client information for a campaign.

Joining LNS and Comparing the Agreement

LNS’s public joining page invites prospective advisers to request contact, but does not publish the full entry test. The joining documents must explain the requirements and commercial terms before you commit.

Read the following terms together so you can compare the business you will own with the support you will receive:

  • Entry qualifications, required accreditations and the licensing arrangement.
  • Fixed fees, commission splits and charges for additional services.
  • Ownership of the client relationship, trail rights and access to client records.
  • Exit notice, data export and treatment of trail after departure.

The conduct arrangements also affect day-to-day work. Identify who supervises files and how advisers record conflicts involving Liberty products. Establish who handles complaints and how a disputed file-review finding is escalated. These responsibilities need named people or teams in the agreement.

Run your usual file through the demonstrated Spark+ workflow before signing. Compare the handovers with your team’s staffing and client needs. A file that requires manual intervention can reveal more about support than a straightforward application.

Liberty’s website terms identify case studies as illustrative. Read an adviser success story as a marketing example. Compare its starting business and the support used with your own situation before expecting a similar result.

Leadership and Direction

Liberty appointed Matthew Whyte as Group Manager of LNS in 2026, succeeding Daniel Marsi. Its leadership announcement gives him oversight of the sales and operations teams.

For advisers, a service or platform change affects work when it reaches an active file. Establish how LNS gives advance notice of Spark+ changes and provides training. Confirm where you report faults and how existing applications are handled during an update. A leadership announcement alone does not change the services or rights in your agreement.

Track My Trail With Liberty Reports

You can analyse Liberty commission records in Track My Trail through the Generic CSV template. Sign in to the report preparation guide to convert your records into that format. Liberty has no native report family, so use the Generic CSV route for the data you supply.

With two monthly reports prepared in the template, Quick Analysis explains changes in your trail. It shows clients added or dropped off and loans that discharged or refinanced. Large balance changes help you distinguish a repayment from a payment gap.

Opt into Trail History to compare stored periods. Missing Trail Analysis finds trail that stopped and later reappeared, separately from discharges. You can use the affected months and amounts when raising a commission query. If your statement is a PDF, PDF to CSV converts it into rows you check before downloading.

Applications and servicing stay in Liberty’s own systems. We analyse the commission data you upload. For other report formats, see Track My Trail’s supported aggregators.

Liberty Network Services FAQ

I’m a Liberty Network Services Adviser. Can I Use Track My Trail?

Yes, prepare your Liberty commission records through the Generic CSV template. Sign in to the Generic CSV preparation guide during a current trial or subscription. Prepare two monthly reports for Quick Analysis, or add prepared reports to Trail History for comparisons over time.

How Does LNS Differ From nMB?

LNS is the Liberty Adviser network. nMB is a separate wholesale aggregator owned by Liberty. Compare each network’s platform and member agreement because common ownership does not make their commercial terms or workflows interchangeable.

Must an LNS Adviser Use Liberty Loans?

LNS’s published panel includes providers beyond Liberty. An adviser chooses from products they are accredited to recommend, according to the client’s needs. Read the agreement’s panel and conflict provisions alongside your licensing responsibilities before joining.
