My Local Broker is an Australian boutique mortgage aggregator whose broker network uses Chief, a customer relationship management (CRM) platform powered by Salestrekker. Joining involves an aggregation agreement as well as access to the software. The terms for your business determine your costs and what happens to your trail when you leave.
The My Local Broker Network
My Local Broker is the named broker network run by My Local Broker Pty Ltd. The ordinary phrase “my local broker” can describe any nearby adviser. Here, it identifies the aggregation business and its member arrangements.
The website names My Local Broker Pty Ltd, ACN 605 003 174, and Australian credit licence (ACL) 481374. Its About Us page describes Gerry Ryan as a backer and Scott McTeare as a co-owner. The recruitment page identifies McTeare as Director and CEO.
The network combines lender access with broker support and Chief. If you are comparing a smaller network with another arrangement, the Australian sub-aggregator comparison explains the broader choices.
Joining and Representing the Brand
My Local Broker advertises a recruitment conversation through its Become a Broker enquiry form. The form asks about qualifications and broking experience. It also asks whether an aggregator has previously terminated your membership.
Before signing, match the agreement’s legal entity to the party responsible for your aggregation services. Establish whether your business works under its own ACL or as a credit representative. Record the licensee responsible for supervision and the authorisations needed for your proposed lending work.
Settle brand use in the agreement. That includes whether you retain your trading name, use My Local Broker branding or combine the two. Specify who approves your website and advertising, which disclosures appear on client documents and what branding you remove on exit. The network name alone does not establish those obligations.
Chief CRM and Its Salestrekker Base
Chief is My Local Broker’s broker-facing CRM, powered by Salestrekker. My Local Broker describes loan-processing tools with software training and support. The Salestrekker platform guide explains the underlying platform beyond this network’s setup.
Use the Chief access invitation supplied during onboarding. Confirm the email identity on the invitation and the brokerage or organisation you are joining. A login attached to a different organisation can give you a different view of deals and settings.
Have the administrator confirm your user role and the workflows you can access. Establish who can export records and who can manage other users. Salestrekker’s Roles and Permissions documentation says enterprise user roles are managed by the aggregator.
When using a Salestrekker help article, first match its version and screens to Chief. Then check whether Chief has enabled the feature and whether your role allows the action. An article describing an administrator’s export screen does not establish that every Chief user can export records. If a screen is missing, give Chief support the article title and your role so they can identify the applicable procedure.
Lender Access and Client Delivery
My Local Broker advertises access to more than 60 lenders, with a dedicated business development manager and broker support. Access to a panel still depends on the broker’s lender accreditations and the lender’s assessment of each application.
Consider a hypothetical client enquiring about refinancing. The broker records the enquiry in Chief, gathers the client’s objectives and documents their financial position. Before submitting to a selected lender, the broker confirms their accreditation and assesses whether that lender’s requirements suit the application.
The deal moves through the brokerage’s workflow as documents arrive and outstanding tasks are completed. My Local Broker describes education and compliance support for its brokers. The lender assesses the application and decides whether to approve it. An aggregator support team can help resolve submission questions without determining the lender’s credit decision.
For My Local Broker reviews, separate a broker’s membership experience from a borrower’s service experience. Ask an existing member about support during a difficult submission and about commission queries. Those answers address different concerns from a borrower’s review of a settled home loan.
Ownership, Fees and Leaving
My Local Broker’s stated ownership and leadership identify the people behind the network. The written offer sets the commercial obligations between your business and the contracting entity.
The recruitment page describes flat-fee and percentage-split arrangements. Compare the written cost of the arrangement you are offered, including CRM access, additional users and any separate charges. Define how the split applies to upfront and trail, and how adjustments or clawbacks appear on statements.
My Local Broker says brokers keep their trail book and clients when they leave. Put that promise beside the agreement’s exit clauses. Establish who pays ongoing trail, any continuing fees and how you receive statements after departure. Record the notice period and any restrictions on transferring the book.
Agree on a data-exit procedure while you still have Chief access. Identify which client records and deal documents your business can export, who authorises the export and when access ends. Include retention responsibilities and the handling of records that remain with the licensee. Brand removal and data transfer are separate exit tasks.
Track My Trail With My Local Broker Reports
My Local Broker members can use Track My Trail through the Generic CSV template or PDF to CSV. We analyse commission statement data you upload. Chief keeps the deal workflow, while the statement supplies the payment record.
Use the Generic section in the Track My Trail report handbook. Sign in during a trial or subscription to access the template and preparation instructions. The supported-aggregators guide explains the routes across other networks.
Keep the Chief deal reference and lender loan number separate. In this hypothetical example, Chief deal MLB-DEAL-042 belongs to lender loan 700123456. Find that lender loan number on the My Local Broker commission statement and match it back to the settled deal. Keep the mapping in your brokerage’s records.
For a spreadsheet statement, prepare a copy in the Generic CSV template using the handbook’s field instructions. Preserve the lender loan reference as text, including any leading zeros. Keep each payment assigned to its reporting period and reconcile the prepared total with the original statement. A renamed Chief deal reference must not create a second loan in the commission data.
If your statement is a PDF, PDF to CSV converts it into rows you check and download. Compare the references and payment amounts with the PDF before analysis. Use the Generic preparation instructions for the resulting data.
Upload two prepared monthly reports for Quick Analysis to see loans added or dropped off and the changes in trail income. With stored Trail History, Missing Trail Analysis separates gaps where trail later returns from clients who discharged. That gives you the affected loan and periods to raise with My Local Broker.
