Compass Aggregation: Membership and Navigate

Track My Trail Team

Compass Aggregation is an Australian asset finance aggregator that gives specialist brokers lender access and business support through its Navigate platform. It is the trading name of Compass Finance Australia Pty Ltd. Mortgage brokers considering asset finance can assess its membership against the products they write and the support they need.

Compass Aggregation Explained

Compass Aggregation describes an independent aggregation model for specialist asset finance brokers. The Australian business at compassgroupaus.com.au is separate from the overseas property businesses and technology products that also use the Compass name.

Its own description of the network includes deal workshopping and access to an end-to-end processing team. Navigate is its advertised integrated customer relationship management (CRM) platform. These services help a broker arrange finance through the network’s lender panel.

The legal business name is Compass Finance Australia Pty Ltd, with ABN 47 658 067 942. Its website lists Australian credit licence (ACL) 541007 for that entity. It also lists Do Business Australia Pty Ltd with ACL 525058. The entity named in your agreement and credit authorisation determines which arrangement applies to your business.

Member Services and Lending Scope

Compass invites brokers to join through a letter-of-intent form. Its advertised membership services include ongoing broker support and member-led training with lender participation. Brokers also have access to business development support and collaborative office space.

Compass’s privacy policy describes commercial and consumer finance and insurance products. The website also describes a vehicle purchasing service accessible from Navigate, with white-label branding for the brokerage. An asset finance panel must match the work you intend to write, including consumer vehicle lending or commercial equipment finance.

Before joining, settle which lenders you can become accredited with and who handles the applications. Agree how lender training and processing support work for a broker expanding from mortgages into asset finance.

Membership and credit authorisation are separate decisions. The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) explains in INFO 126: Credit representatives that representatives act within activities authorised by their licensee. Confirm the actual licensee and authorised activities in your written appointment before undertaking regulated credit work. Access to Navigate does not itself grant credit authorisation.

Navigate is Compass’s advertised integrated CRM for its asset finance broker network. Compass describes workflow management and automated document generation alongside reporting. Its homepage positions Navigate as the platform for managing the client relationship from enquiry beyond settlement.

The Broker Portal link on Compass’s website opens a Compass-branded portal at navigateclientportal.zohocreatorportal.com.au. The Zoho Creator address identifies the portal technology. Use the Compass-issued portal account for this service. A general Zoho account or another vendor’s login does not substitute for your Compass access.

Navigate and Salestrekker are distinct platform names. A Salestrekker partner logo alone cannot establish which system a Compass member uses or whether a migration has occurred. Use Navigate for the Compass platform described here. The Salestrekker guide explains that separate platform.

From Enquiry to Submission

On a hypothetical vehicle finance enquiry, a Compass broker uses the platform to organise the file and the network to help prepare the application. The lender makes the assessment decision.

  1. Establish whether the vehicle is for personal or business use and collect the client’s required information. The product category affects which lender and application requirements apply.
  2. Record the enquiry and manage the file through the broker’s Navigate access. Use its documented workflow and document-generation functions within the brokerage’s procedures.
  3. Workshop the deal with Compass support if lender fit or file preparation needs help. Agree which work the processing team will complete and which checks remain with you.
  4. Submit the completed application through the channel required by the selected lender. Respond to further information requests before the lender decides the application.

Processing assistance helps prepare a submission. It does not replace the broker’s responsibilities or promise a lender approval. For a broader comparison of aggregation arrangements, read the Australian mortgage aggregator comparison.

Charges, Support and Data Responsibilities

Your Compass membership agreement determines the charges and services included in your arrangement. Obtain a written breakdown before committing to membership.

Compare these terms against the work your brokerage will send through the network:

  • Joining and recurring membership charges, including the GST treatment.
  • Navigate access for each staff member and any separately charged services.
  • Processing fees and the work included in each file.
  • Commission deductions, payment timing and how corrections are handled.
  • Notice periods, exit charges and the treatment of ongoing trail after departure.

Compass’s privacy policy explains how it collects and discloses client information for finance applications. Before onboarding staff or moving a book, agree who can access records and which documents you can export. The membership terms must also explain what happens to platform access and commission records when you leave.

Use the guide to switching mortgage aggregators to organise the handover around your agreement’s commission and data obligations.

Track My Trail With Compass Reports

Compass brokers can use Track My Trail through the Generic CSV template or PDF to CSV. The supported aggregators guide explains report coverage, and the app handbook identifies Generic as the route for other reports. Sign in during a current trial or subscription to access the template and preparation guide.

Get the issued monthly commission statement from Compass’s member support or your brokerage’s commission administrator. Use the statement showing payments against individual loans. Ask for the delivery channel assigned to your membership, whether that is a portal or another member service.

For a spreadsheet statement, prepare the Generic CSV using the handbook’s template fields. Preserve each loan’s account reference consistently across months, including leading zeroes. Keep separate loan splits separate and retain the original payment amounts and reporting periods. A client name alone cannot distinguish two loans held by the same borrower.

If the statement is a PDF, PDF to CSV on Elite Suite converts it into rows you can check and download. Compare the converted references and amounts with the issued statement before analysis. Both conversion files are deleted after 24 hours.

Upload two monthly reports for Quick Analysis. We show which loans were added or dropped off and which clients discharged, so you can explain the change in trail. With stored Trail History, Missing Trail Analysis identifies trail that stopped and later returned, separately from discharges. You can raise the affected loan references and missing periods with Compass.

Compass Aggregation FAQ

I’m a Compass Broker. Can I Use Track My Trail?

Yes. Prepare your Compass statements with the Generic CSV template or PDF to CSV. The handbook’s Generic section explains preparation. Sign in during a current trial or subscription to access the template.

Are Navigate and Salestrekker the Same System?

No, Navigate is the integrated CRM Compass advertises for its asset finance network. Salestrekker is a separate platform. A partner logo does not establish a shared login or a platform migration.

Where Do Compass Brokers Sign In?

Use the Broker Portal link on Compass’s official website. It opens the Compass-branded Navigate portal on Zoho Creator. Use the credentials issued for that portal and contact Compass member support if you cannot access your account.
