Westpac BrokerHub: Using the Broker Portal

Track My Trail Team

Westpac BrokerHub is the accredited broker workspace for lodging a deal, tracking applications and requesting pricing. Westpac’s broker site also provides policy guidance, current offers and contacts for support across the application journey.

Use BrokerHub to check the lender’s requirements and follow the Westpac file. Keep your brokerage’s client record alongside it. Record who owns each pricing request, application condition and client update.

See Westpac’s broker workflow page for the provider’s published information.

What BrokerHub Does

BrokerHub handles three core jobs: lodging applications, watching their progress and requesting pricing. The supporting materials include current rates and offers, policy information, forms, business development manager (BDM) contact details and post-settlement help.

BrokerHub carries Westpac’s policy quick guides and credit policy videos. Reading the guide before you submit a borderline file helps you prepare the evidence and questions your BDM needs.

St.George, Bank of Melbourne and BankSA brokers use the same BrokerHub with their own brand material, covered in our Bank of Melbourne broker portal guide.

Using It on Real Files

Check product and pricing inside BrokerHub before you recommend anything, including current home-loan and refinancing options. Then lodge the deal and use the application tracker to follow its progress. When a file stalls, its status tells you where it sits. Use that information to decide whether to fix evidence or escalate to your BDM.

The same visibility improves loan processing conversations with clients. A status you can see is a status you can explain. Tell the client what stage their application has reached and what happens next.

Where the Limits Sit

BrokerHub manages the Westpac relationship. Client records, pipeline planning and compliance files still live in your own systems. You still need to verify policy against the client’s actual position before lodging.

The common mistake is treating the portal as the whole relationship. Some questions, such as a complex income structure or an out-of-policy exception, need a conversation with your BDM. Use the BDM contact details inside BrokerHub when the portal does not answer the question.

For the lender rules behind the file, see our guide to Westpac commission, clawback and credit policy.

Habits That Make It Worthwhile

Check BrokerHub at a fixed time each day so you can send client updates after reviewing the latest status. Skim the policy quick guides when Westpac announces changes, because a previously approved scenario can fall outside changed policy. Keep your own notes alongside the portal’s records. Your file notes capture context such as why a client chose one product over another.

Those habits support client relationships. You can answer questions from the file’s current status and policy instead of relying on last year’s assumptions.

Your Next Step

If you write with Westpac but rarely open BrokerHub, log in this week and locate the application tracker for your most recent deal. Find the current policy quick guides and your BDM’s contact record too. Pair that with industry learning such as networking events where peers compare lender service. You will know what the portal answers and when to contact your BDM.
