People First Bank Broker Portal (Heritage)

Track My Trail Team

The Heritage broker portal handles legacy Heritage loans, while People First Bank is the broker entry point for new business. Use the channel that matches the file you are working on.

People First Bank's Broker Portal for New Business

Use the People First Bank broker page for new business. Heritage and People's Choice merged and now operate under the People First Bank brand.

Accredited People First Bank brokers can follow that page's portal login. Heritage no longer issues broker accreditations, so arrange accreditation with People First Bank before preparing your first new lodgement.

For broker pay and credit criteria, use the separate People First Bank policy guide.

Tools Behind People First Bank's Broker Channel

People First Bank processes applications electronically through Simpology and uses DocuSign for document signing. Its broker support team includes embedded credit assessment for policy questions.

Read the published service-level delivery times in the portal before quoting a client a date. You can also obtain those times from your Business Development Manager.

Raise a scenario with the assessment team before structuring the application. Give the team the relevant file facts so its answer addresses the proposed loan. The Simpology guide explains the lodgement platform.

What the Remaining Heritage Site Still Does

The remaining Heritage broker site supports existing Heritage lending. It publishes service levels and forms, plus a servicing calculator and ApplyOnline guides.

Existing Heritage customers with current lending can still apply for top-ups through their broker. Heritage also supports applications already in the pipeline through settlement and post-settlement servicing.

Heritage takes no new broker loan applications. For example, an existing Heritage borrower's top-up stays with the legacy channel, while a new loan application goes through People First Bank.

Explaining the Name Change to Clients

Explain the merger when a Heritage or People's Choice client receives documents with People First Bank branding. You can say, "Heritage and People's Choice merged, and the combined bank uses the People First Bank name."

People First Bank is a trading name of Heritage and People's Choice Ltd, as the bank's own disclosure states. That distinction explains why a legal entity name can differ from the brand on a document.

Confirm that the client's repayments and loan structure continue unaffected by the name change. Treat any proposed loan variation separately from the rebrand.

Answer rate questions from the current product information for that client's loan. Record the rate and terms you quote so another broker can explain the same information if the client calls back.

Claims About the Old Portal You Should Drop

Leave old claims about the Heritage portal's mobile-friendly design, encryption standards and role permissions out of your explanation of broker access.

The same applies to claims about portfolio management, CRM records, performance reporting, forums, webinars and analytics. Those descriptions do not establish which channel handles the client's file.

Choose the channel by the work you need to do: existing Heritage lending uses legacy servicing, and new business uses People First Bank. For another renamed lender, use the Australian broker portal directory.

This Week's Next Steps

  1. Audit your loan book for Heritage loans and flag each one for a review conversation. Record whether the client needs ongoing servicing, a top-up or a wider review.
  2. Start People First Bank accreditation before your first new lodgement. Once accredited, open the portal and find its application process and support contact before you have a live file to submit.
