Choose Track My Trail in a Track My Trail vs CommissionsIQ comparison when you want missing-trail checks alongside client reviews and loan-by-loan book valuation. Choose CommissionsIQ when your main job is reconciling statement entitlements against payments, or providing that workflow across an aggregator panel.
Track My Trail connects commission checks with the decisions you make about your book. Missing Trail Analysis separates interrupted trail from discharges. Commission Verification checks upfront against the trail that follows, while Clawback Risk shows the upfront still exposed. Elite Suite adds a report valuing each active loan.
The Commission Workflow That Decides the Choice
Both products work from commission statements, but the decision depends on what you need to do after finding a difference.
Track My Trail turns aggregator reports into monthly explanations and longer-term book analysis for brokers and brokerage owners. Quick Analysis needs two monthly reports and stores nothing. Opt-in Trail History supports Historical Analysis without uploading the same periods again.
CommissionsIQ, powered by LoanX, describes reconciliation against the amounts your aggregator statements say were due. Its commission-tracking page explains that the expected figure comes from those statements. Its product is relevant to a broker investigating payment differences and to an aggregator arranging access for its panel.

Upfront, Trail and Underpayments
Track My Trail checks whether payments continue as expected. CommissionsIQ compares payments with the entitlement recorded in your statements.
In Track My Trail, Commission Verification matches each upfront payment with trail expected within two months. It also shows trail received without an upfront payment. Missing Trail Analysis identifies missing, lost and new loans, with a reviewed mark for each loan. These checks give you specific gaps to investigate.
CommissionsIQ’s commission-tracking page describes a per-loan comparison of what statements say was due against what arrived. It flags differences for investigation. The broker still establishes why a payment differs.
Compare equivalent commission periods before calling a difference an underpayment. A statement’s issue period and the period earning the commission can differ. Track My Trail’s month-length adjustment helps explain changes between monthly totals, but each suspected gap still needs its underlying records.
For example, an illustrative loan pays less trail during a shorter commission period. A lower total alone does not establish an error. Match the loan reference and earning period, then compare the payment with the applicable balance and commission terms. Account for the aggregator split and tax treatment on both sides.
Before raising a payment query, retain the relevant statements and the payment entry. Include the loan reference, earning period and expected amount with the rule or statement entitlement supporting it. A missing-trail flag starts that investigation. It does not establish the amount owed.
Clawback Risk and Book Reporting
Both products show clawback exposure, while Track My Trail also values the active book loan by loan on Elite Suite.
Track My Trail’s Clawback Risk lists every loan still within its clawback period, with days remaining and the upfront exposure under the applicable rules. It groups loans as Critical, Watch, Monitor or Passive. A reference page explains the rules applied.
CommissionsIQ’s clawback page describes monitoring each loan’s position in its window and showing exposure across the book. Its alerts identify loans for review. In either product, exposure is a contingent amount. A flagged loan is not a confirmed clawback charge.
For ongoing performance, Track My Trail’s Performance Dashboard charts upfront and trail over the last 12 months, alongside loan-book and runoff trends. Historical Analysis compares stored periods month to month, quarter to quarter or year to year.
Elite Suite’s Trail Book Valuation grades each active loan A to E and adjusts the value for the shape of the book. It cross-checks the result with discounted cash flow and produces a three-page report with an anonymised loan schedule. This supports a valuation discussion. A formal valuation or purchase offer is a separate decision.
CommissionsIQ’s analytics page describes settlement trends, lender breakdowns and upfront-versus-trail reporting. It also describes annualised commission projections. Those income projections answer a different question from the loan-level valuation report in Track My Trail.
Broker and Aggregator Views
A brokerage’s shared reporting and an aggregator’s panel-wide arrangement have different access requirements.
Track My Trail includes Trail by Broker on every plan. Elite Suite gives the owner and four teammates separate logins to shared Trail History and dashboards, with billing managed by the owner. It combines up to five aggregators or trail books, viewed together or separately.
Track My Trail reads CSV, XLS and XLSX aggregator reports. Elite Suite’s PDF to CSV converts statements into rows you check before analysis. Its report coverage includes major aggregators and smaller providers, plus a Generic CSV template for other formats.
CommissionsIQ’s data-import page describes Excel and CSV uploads with saved mapping for each format. Imports include validation and duplicate-statement detection. Its aggregator page says brokers work from their statements, with management views across a brokerage and individual broker views. Approved API access can support a connection, but file upload is the starting workflow.
CommissionsIQ places multi-broker team views on Professional and above. Its Enterprise arrangement adds white-labeling, with panel access structured commercially for the aggregator. That is a reason for an aggregator to consider it separately from a brokerage choosing shared analysis for its own books.
Subscription Terms and Practical Fit
Choose the subscription around the history and access your review work needs.
Track My Trail has monthly or yearly billing, with GST included. Excel Escape includes Quick Analysis. Pro Performance adds stored history and Historical Analysis over the most recent two years for one trail book. Elite Suite adds full history, team logins and up to five books, alongside Trail Book Valuation and PDF to CSV.
Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time, and you can change plans or billing from your account. The pricing page has current subscription terms and prices.
CommissionsIQ’s pricing page lists monthly billing plus GST. Starter covers up to six months of commission data and 500 loans. Professional covers all years of statements and up to 2,000 loans, with multi-broker views. Enterprise has custom pricing for larger portfolios and aggregator arrangements. Its trial runs for 14 days without a credit card.
Choose Track My Trail if you want commission checks to feed into client review work and book-value decisions. Refinance Finder builds a review queue from settlement age and balance, and reviewed loans return after 90 days. Track My Trail starts with a seven-day trial without a credit card.
Choose CommissionsIQ if statement-based reconciliation is your main requirement, or you are arranging a white-label Enterprise service for an aggregator panel. For a brokerage comparing ongoing review work, count the books and people who need access. Match that requirement to the history window and shared reporting included in the plan.
