The Citi Broker Portal is now a piece of Australian lending history: National Australia Bank acquired Citigroup’s local consumer business on 1 June 2022, and the transition has since run to completion.
NAB reported in June 2024 that mortgages from the acquired Citi consumer business were fully integrated by March that year, so today’s mortgage brokers deal with NAB rather than Citibank for anything from that portfolio. Articles describing a current Citi portal with live logins and feature sets are describing a platform that no longer exists.

What happened to Citi’s consumer business
The acquisition transferred credit provision and product issuance to NAB, which then migrated customers onto its own systems. By March 2024 the integration covered the mortgage book along with deposits and wealth clients, according to NAB’s own debt investor presentation. Any service levels, forms or contacts tied to a Citi-branded portal are therefore obsolete.
What this means for your book and pipeline
Audit your CRM for loans originated under Citi and confirm each one now maps to NAB’s servicing environment. Brokers running formal pipeline management should relabel those files so reports stop showing a lender that cannot act on them.
New business follows a different path entirely: any borrowing suited to the former Citi range starts through NAB’s current broker channels and its published application process, not through legacy Citi instructions saved on someone’s desktop.
Older portal claims worth dropping
Past write-ups credited this portal with loan registration, automated reports, custom dashboards and a partner.citi.com login for approved brokers, plus promises of supposedly fast lodgement powered by artificial intelligence document checks and automated risk assessment. None of that survives contact with the current facts: the platform was absorbed, its promised upgrades never materialised publicly, and any Citi-only pathway claim should be deleted from your templates before it misleads a colleague.
Where the work goes now
Servicing questions, top-ups and new lending that once pointed at Citi all resolve through NAB’s broker support team and its accredited-lender workflow, which keeps documentation and loan processing inside one system rather than two half-migrated ones.
Your next steps
This week, search your book for Citi-originated files and update the lender labels, brief any team members still quoting Citi turnaround times, and if a client asks about their former Citibank loan, answer from NAB’s current material rather than an archived portal page. Clean records now prevent confused client conversations later.
