The Firstmac broker portal is Broker Tools, the workspace accredited brokers use to assess scenarios, lodge applications and track Firstmac deals.
Firstmac's broker site directs users to Broker Tools login. Use that login for broker work. Firstmac onTrack is a separate customer portal for loan documents.
What the Firstmac Broker Portal Covers
Broker Tools covers the work from scenario testing before lodgement through to application tracking. Its policy material helps you decide whether Firstmac will consider the deal before you prepare the file.
Start with the borrower's circumstances and the current policy, then test serviceability and prepare the application. Keep the calculator result with your working notes so you can explain the assumptions behind the proposed loan.
For lender-specific pay and credit rules, read Firstmac broker commission and credit policy. For other lenders' workspaces, use the Australian broker portal guides.
The Tools Worth Knowing
The Debt Service Calculator estimates serviceability from the income, expenses and commitments you enter. A result is an estimate, not approval. An unusual policy issue still needs a Firstmac credit assessment.
For example, if a client's declared expenses change after you collect their statements, update the calculator before discussing the loan amount again. A saved result based on the earlier figures does not describe the revised scenario.
Application tracking is the source for client progress updates. Open the application's current status before telling a client where their file stands, then explain any outstanding action.
When several applications are moving at once, check them at fixed times each day. Record the next action for each file and follow up anything that has stopped progressing.
Firstmac's onTrack guide identifies onTrack as the customer's loan-document portal. It is separate from the broker's application tracking in Broker Tools.
Valuations, Documents and the Mobile App
Confirm that an upfront valuation is available for the property and scenario before promising a client one. If it is available, an early valuation can expose a shortfall before the application proceeds further.
Broker Tools has electronic document handling and a document vault. Use the application's document area to keep the file together and retrieve the documents needed for the next stage.
Firstmac also has a Broker Tools mobile app for checks between appointments. Its Broker Tools download page lists calculators, application tracking and live chat alongside broker resources.
Use the phone for a status check or a support conversation when you are away from your desk. Leave detailed file preparation until you can review the complete application and its supporting documents.
A Daily Broker Tools Routine
Use Broker Tools throughout the deal, with a repeatable routine for each application.
- Read current policy before pitching a scenario to the client.
- Run the Debt Service Calculator first and record questions for your Firstmac contact.
- Use current forms when preparing and lodging the application.
- Check application tracking at fixed times daily and follow up outstanding items.
- Read announcements weekly so you can act on policy or system changes.
Daily portal use helps you warn clients early about conditions and explain the next step during approval. A specific update about a missing document gives the client something to act on and helps keep them calm.
Support and Staying Current
Broker Tools contains user guides and support contacts, with live chat for questions during your work. Ask your Firstmac business development manager about training when you begin using the portal.
If you are new to Firstmac, book training in week one. Learn the calculator and application workflow before you need to use them on a live deal.
Set aside fifteen minutes each month to read announcements and replace saved forms with current versions. Run a scenario through the calculator to check that your working process still matches the portal.
Firstmac Broker Tools and Track My Trail: Different Tasks
Firstmac Broker Tools handles Firstmac applications and serviceability. Track My Trail analyses the aggregator commission reports you upload to understand the trail income those loans produce.
Track My Trail does not replace Firstmac Broker Tools. It has no native Firstmac importer or direct data feed from Firstmac Broker Tools. Continue using the lender's portal for applications.
For commission analysis, choose your aggregator's report format from Track My Trail's supported aggregators. Other statements use the Generic CSV template or PDF to CSV.
Upload two monthly reports to Quick Analysis to see which clients joined or left and which loan balances changed. Use those results for the commission question, while Broker Tools remains your workspace for the live Firstmac deal.
